Welcome to Kolhapur's most vibrant, dazzling, and innovative Jewellery House—Gopinath Anant Chipade Saraaf and Sons. On 25 April 1904, the late Shri Gopinath Anant Chipade founded Gopinath Anant Chipade Saraaf and Sons in Kolhapur. With his extensive experience and goodwill, his passion for crafting exquisite gold and silver jewellery soared to incredible heights.
With more than 120 years of establishment, Giridhar, Sonali, Rudra, and Tejashree Chipade continue this rich tradition for many connoisseurs. Located in the heart of Kolhapur city, our jewellery store is dedicated to the art of fine jewellery making, utilizing the skills of master craftsmen and an in-house design team.
Besides catering to a large customer base, we have emerged as one of the most trusted jewellers in Kolhapur and the surrounding areas. Much of Maharashtra's traditional jewellery is inspired by the designs worn by the royals of the Maratha and Peshwa kingdoms, with the most renowned pieces originating from Kolhapur.
One such iconic piece is the Kolhapuri Saaj, a neckpiece featuring golden beads and 21 leaf-shaped pendants. This necklace is considered auspicious for married Maharashtrian women and is a staple in their jewellery collection. Another famous ornament is the Nath, a nose ring made of a gold string interwoven with pearls and precious and semi-precious stones.
All these timeless pieces are available at Chipade Saraaf and Sons, Nagala Park Branch, Kolhapur.
This naturally helped build a steadfast reputation. "Today, with our growing customer list, we are an integral part of every wedding and joyous occasion in Kolhapur and its neighbouring areas," says Mr Giridhar Chipade.
Mr. Rudra Chipade adds, "With our exquisite designer variety of gold and silver jewellery, we also specialize in high-quality diamond, ruby, and emerald jewellery. Preserving the fine art of handmade jewellery, we have the best-skilled artisans for antique-finish Kolhapuri jewellery, authentic traditional and temple jewellery, and a contemporary fusion of the latest and traditional designs. We have 48 skilled craftsmen in our factory who design jewellery according to the customer's preferences and choices."
"A jewellery house grows only by the power of the trust it builds. We emphasize ensuring that only the highest quality gold and precious stones go into making jewellery at Chipade Saraaf," says Mrs. Sonali Chipade.
"Our values of integrity, respect, passion for excellence, customer-centricity, and innovation are our strengths and make us a unique organization. We uphold and cherish these values. Unique and innovative designs are integral to our business," she adds.
Kolhapur has its traditional jewellery patterns, which we proudly provide to our customers.
These Kolhapuri ornaments are highly appreciated by our customers," says Mr Giridhar Chipade. "We have always welcomed healthy competition in the market. In fact, competition keeps us on our toes, ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient services and both traditional and innovative designs," he adds. The key to Gopinath Anant Chipade Saraaf and Sons' 120-year tradition is their effective marketing strategies and uncompromising commitment to the quality of their jewellery products. Moreover, their buy-back policy is as strong as their sales.
"The Foaming Jewellery of Gopinath Anant Chipade Saraaf and Sons is selling like hotcakes online, with soaring orders from across the nation—from the northern to the southern states and from the eastern to the western states of India. The 5th generation, led by Mr Giridhar Chipade and his wife, Mrs Sonali Chipade, and the upcoming 6th generation, led by Mr Rudra Chipade and his wife, Ar. Mrs. Tejashree Mutalik Desai Chipade, share the responsibility of running and expanding the Chipade Saraaf Jewellery business."
Now, the 6th generation of the Chipade family, led by Rudra and Tejashree, is playing a leadership role in making Gopinath Anant Chipade Saraaf and Sons the most valuable brand in the market.
